We must do everything possible to ensure that there are no gunfire along the border. In a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly, Andranik Kocharyan, the Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee, made this observation.

“Windows have been broken, we will repair the windows and do everything so that such gunfire is assessed, even at the level of EU observers, and we reach a point where there is no gunfire,” he stated.

Kocharyan noted that currently, the gunfire is sporadic, meaningless, and purposeless. He emphasized that if necessary, the Armenian side will respond to the adversary.

Kocharyan attributes the gunfire to Azerbaijan's hysterical manifestations. “This has happened many times and has nothing to do with the meeting on April 5,” he said.

Andranik Kocharyan does not see a danger of escalation: “When we see, we will move to full-scale defense.” Responding to the question of whether Azerbaijan's actions hinder the peace process, he noted that the disruptors are also within Armenia.
