VIDEO. 'I Promise I Won't Dance': Scholz Joins TikTok

The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has registered on the TikTok social media platform. This was announced on the website of the German Federal Government's Press and Information Office.

"With the help of this new platform, the federal government's press service is expanding the information available to citizens who are increasingly sharing political content on TikTok," the statement reads. The page will provide information about Scholz and the work of the German government, as well as "allow viewers to see behind-the-scenes of everyday government life."

Commenting on the creation of his TikTok account, Chancellor Scholz stated that he will not be sharing dancing videos. "I promise I won't dance," the Chancellor wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
