Nicaragua to Cut Diplomatic Relations with Ecuador: Reason Revealed
The government of Nicaragua has decided to sever diplomatic relations with Ecuador following an attack on the Mexican embassy in Quito, where former Ecuadorian Vice President Jorge Glas was arrested. This was reported by TASS.
In its announcement, the Nicaraguan government stated that this decision was made due to the actions taken by the law enforcement agencies in Quito. Earlier, former Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa had apologized to Mexico after the country’s police stormed the Mexican embassy in Quito.
