We Are Being Provoked and Attempted to be Removed from the Ongoing Negotiation Process: Civil Contract MP
The state interest of the Republic of Armenia requires that Armenia participate in the US-EU-Armenia meeting on April 5. This was stated by Vagharchak Hakobyan, a member of the Parliamentary faction 'Civil Contract', in a conversation with reporters.
“We are being provoked and attempted to be removed from the ongoing negotiation process. But we must remain sober, not succumb to emotions, and act in accordance with the state interest of the Republic of Armenia. Armenia and our government have been given the opportunity to deepen relations with the European Union and our Western partners, and we must use this opportunity to benefit the Republic of Armenia,” Hakobyan stated.
He added that discussions about results will be possible after the meeting. According to Hakobyan, when Armenia deepens its relations with another country, it is not directed against another country, especially not against our ally Russia.
“The deepening of relations with our Western partners is solely aimed at developing the economy, enhancing security, and improving the social situation of our citizens. Our steps are in line with this logic,” the MP said.
A meeting is set to take place in Brussels on April 5, involving Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
