If Azerbaijan Starts a War Against Us Alone, We Will Crush Their Teeth: Melkonyan
We can still block Azerbaijan's appetite. If Azerbaijan starts a war against us alone, we will crush their teeth, but they are backed by Turkey and Russia. This was stated by Gagik Melkonyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, in an interview with NEWS.am.
“Russia has become Azerbaijan's lawyer in recent years. Now Russia claims that the meeting in Brussels between Pashinyan, Blinken, and Von der Leyen is detrimental to the Armenian people. How do you know our harm and benefit? You emptied Nagorno-Karabakh, and now you want to take the Zangezur corridor from us. Is this a benefit or a harm for our state? When you elegantly expelled Armenians from Artsakh in concert with the Azerbaijanis, was it a benefit for Armenians or a harm? When you seized our factories in exchange for debt, was that a benefit for us or a harm? Now that the EU wants to provide us with financial assistance, do they think it is a benefit for us or a harm? Russia says, ‘Have they asked Azerbaijan if EU observers are deployed at the border?’ What is it to you; why are you interfering in our affairs? This comes from the fact that for centuries they have governed our country. From 2018 to 2020, they were still able to create a climate here, but they saw that the climate was not favorable, so they organized a war against our country,” the parliamentary member declared.
He assured that the leaders of Armenia are on the right track and are finally pursuing our national interest.
