Russian Border Guards Deployed at Armenia-Azerbaijan Border Upon Pashinyan's Request, Says Kopirkin
Russian border guard observation posts have been established along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border at the personal request of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin stated in an interview with 24News.
“I will not even mention the placement of our observation points, which were installed along the border with Azerbaijan at the personal request of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to help stabilize the situation in 2020,” he noted.
Kopirkin emphasized that the Armenian side has never decided to legitimize the deployment of Russian observation points.
