Germany Announces New Military Aid Package for Ukraine
Germany has announced the transfer of 18,000 rounds of 155 mm ammunition and dozens of reconnaissance drones (UAVs) to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of a new military aid package. The announcement was published on the website of the German government.
Germany will provide Ukraine with 18,000 NATO-standard 155 mm shells, 14 Vector reconnaissance drones, 30 RQ-35 Heidrun drones, as well as ammunition for Leopard tanks.
The list of equipment transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been further supplemented with 6 Wisent 1 mine clearance vehicles and 2 Beaver bridge-laying vehicles. Germany will also send 2,000 RGW 90 Matador grenade launchers, 180 drone detection systems, and infrared cameras to Kyiv.
