Liquid Gas Reservoir Weighing 5 Tons Damaged in Yerevan Due to Soil Subsidence, Gas Leak Present
Today, on March 19, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
At approximately 1:40 PM, a call was received by the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, indicating that a gas pipeline at a gas station located at 24/20 Gogol Street had been damaged, resulting in a gas leak.
According to site information, the incident was caused by soil subsidence, which led to the damage of a liquid gas reservoir weighing about 5 tons, resulting in a gas leak. This occurred due to the damage of a pipe connecting the liquid gas filling supply tanks (5000 liters) together.
Rescue teams are on site ensuring safety, and considering the large quantity of liquid gas, an additional fire crew has arrived, along with an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center.
Fortunately, according to preliminary information, there have been no injuries reported.
