Azerbaijan Responds to European Parliament's Adopted Resolution
The spokesperson of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ayhan Hacizade, commented on the resolution adopted by the European Parliament on March 13, 2024. According to APA, the press secretary of Azerbaijan's MFA stated that the resolution titled "On the Necessity of Closer Ties Between the European Union and Armenia and a Peace Agreement Between Azerbaijan and Armenia" is "not only unfounded and biased, but also a vivid example of the double standards applied towards Azerbaijan."
He mentioned that the adopted resolution is allegedly "a defamatory campaign against Azerbaijan, in which all the facts are distorted."
"We inform the members of the European Parliament that such resolutions completely undermine the role of the European Parliament as an institution," said the spokesperson of Azerbaijan's MFA.
