I Have Been Displeased with His Work: Pashinyan on Marukyan's Resignation
I have been displeased with his work. Addressing the resignation of former Special Ambassador Edmond Marukyan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a press conference, "The reason that Edmond Marukyan left is that I have been dissatisfied with his work; he knows this, I have told him. I have specifically mentioned what I was dissatisfied with, and I have not worked directly with him in recent times," said Pashinyan.
Nikol Pashinyan noted that during their last meeting, Marukyan mentioned that Pashinyan had made a statement and quoted him, saying he found it problematic. "I said it’s out of the question; I said, ‘Go, send me that statement via video,’ he replied, ‘Yes, I didn’t receive a link, I received some text,’" he noted. The Prime Minister declared that he had not given Marukyan any directives for a long time and had not worked with him directly, instead working through intermediaries. "He resigned for that reason, he understood that I was dissatisfied," added the Armenian Prime Minister.
