Contacts Between Pashinyan and Erdogan Continue
During a recent interview with Turkey's Anadolu news agency at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan discussed the Armenia-Turkey normalization process, reminding that there have been phone conversations between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He emphasized that "contacts continue, which ensures positive dynamics."
Recalling that an agreement was reached to open the land border between the two countries for citizens of third countries visiting Armenia and Turkey, Mirzoyan announced that this will apply not only to third-country citizens but also to holders of diplomatic passports. Mirzoyan also mentioned that the restoration of the historical Ani Bridge is in question and reminded that some agreements have been reached regarding the construction of infrastructures and roads in border areas.
"As the Republic of Armenia, we sincerely wish for the state border to be opened soon; we want diplomatic relations to be established and for the ties between peoples and cultures to be expanded," he said.
