The Law Easing Driver Fines Takes Effect from May 1
The National Assembly has adopted a draft amendment to the law on administrative offenses, which provides discounts on driver fines. The draft received 86 votes in favor, 0 against, and 6 abstentions. The law will come into effect on May 1.
It is noteworthy that citizens will have the option to pay 20% less of their fines for violations recorded through photo and video devices, provided they receive notifications electronically. Furthermore, if 70% of the fine is paid within 15 days of receiving the electronic notification, the remaining amount will be considered paid.
Additionally, for parking violations in the second lane, the fine will be reduced from 0.5 penalty points to 0.25 penalty points.
