Lavrov and Fidan to Meet: Date Announced
The head of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, will visit Turkey on March 1-2, during which he will meet with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, to discuss the principles of peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
This was stated in a relevant announcement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The ministers will exchange their views on the current situation regarding the Ukrainian crisis, analyze the ongoing situation in the combat zone, and discuss the principles of a peaceful resolution of the conflict, which is possible only under the condition that Russia's interests and concerns are taken into account by Kyiv,” the announcement said.
It was noted that the Russian side recognizes the Turkish partners' eagerness to cooperate on matters of mutual interest.
