French Military Can Ensure Security of Ukraine's Borders, Says Prime Minister

French military personnel can ensure the security of Ukraine's borders, stated the country's Prime Minister Gabriel Attal during a Senate session broadcast on the government agency's website.

“When we talk about French military personnel, we can refer to those soldiers involved in training, land-air defense, or the protection of several borders,” he said.

The official also noted that EU countries have decided to advance further in supplying weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces due to the “Russian threat.”

“Can the president responsibly say that he fundamentally rules out certain prospects? I don’t think so,” Attal added, thereby attempting to defend Emmanuel Macron, who faced severe criticism domestically following his statements.
