Belarus Will Always Be United with Russia, Says Lukashenko
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that his country will always be united with Russia and has discussed various ways to counter the West with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
“President Putin and I have planned different scenarios for the development of events and responses; we will always be united with Russia,” Lukashenko told reporters.
The Belarusian leader noted that it is unacceptable “if we let go and fight for some fleeting democracy, for freedom that does not exist.”
“We must see our goal, our interests; we must be honest and pursue a policy of justice. Only then will our people's unity be achieved,” the president said.
