Martuni-Yerevan Road Now Open in Both Directions
The Martuni-Yerevan road is now open in both directions. This information is reported by News.am.
According to the protesters, Gegharkunik Governor Karen Sargsyan, along with a representative from the State Revenue Committee, spoke with them and announced that notifications are currently suspended and no actions are taking place.
They also mentioned that discussions would conclude soon, with a final decision to be announced. However, the protesters assure that if a new decision is not announced in the coming days, they will resume their demonstrations.
It should be noted that residents of Gegharkunik province had blocked the Yerevan-Martuni road in protest against new legislative changes by the State Revenue Committee, which require individuals working abroad to pay income tax in Armenia on earnings received from other countries.
