We Completely Reject Such Demands: Peskov
The spokesperson for the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, responded to Josep Borrell's call for an independent international investigation into the death of Alexei Navalny. "We completely reject such demands, especially from Mr. Borrell," Peskov said when asked how the Kremlin views such requests.
The Russian presidential spokesperson also stated that Vladimir Putin had not seen Yulia Navalnaya’s message posted on social media yesterday. According to Peskov, the accusations from the widow that Navalny's body is being withheld to conceal poisoning are baseless and unfounded.
Earlier, Borrell demanded permission from Russia to conduct an 'independent and transparent international investigation' regarding Alexei Navalny's death, despite Moscow's insistence that this is a domestic issue for Russia.
