EU Extends Anti-Russian Sanctions
The European Union has extended its anti-Russian sanctions until February 24, 2025. The relevant decision of the EU Council has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
"The decision (to extend the restrictive measures) will be in effect until February 24, 2025," the document states.
The sanctions pertain to the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, in relation to their incorporation into the Russian Federation. It is noted that the decision comes into force the day after its publication.
