Ruben Vardanyan Has No Connection to Possible Sale of Ameriabank: Arakelyan
The co-founder of the "Living Country" party, Mesrop Arakelyan, has made a post on his Facebook page addressing the rumors surrounding Ruben Vardanyan amidst the information regarding the possible sale of Ameriabank.
"In light of the latest unnecessary speculations regarding Ruben Vardanyan in connection with the possible sale of Ameriabank, I find it necessary to inform the following, which is accessible to everyone:
- Ruben Vardanyan is not personally a shareholder of Ameriabank.
- Ruben Vardanyan's 48.8% stake has been entrusted to the management of 'Imast Group' company. No shareholder is authorized to make decisions unilaterally on such matters.
- Ruben Vardanyan has long ceased to engage in the bank's management, having exited the board of directors.
- Discussions regarding the possible sale of the bank began as early as 2022.
- Any potential sale transaction must be approved by the relevant public authorities of the Republic of Armenia.
In short, Ruben Vardanyan has no connection to the potential sale of the bank," he wrote.
