Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Accuses Armenia of Provocation
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has accused Armenia of wounding one of their border soldiers in the Kapan-Zangelan area, deeming it a "provocation."
"This action is a serious blow to the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Given the stability of the last 4-5 months, such provocative actions clearly contradict Armenia's declared messages of peace," the statement read. Furthermore, it expressed that "such a provocation, undertaken in areas under the supervision of the European Union mission in Armenia, raises serious concerns about the intentions and objectives of this mission." The responsibility lies with Armenia's military-political leadership," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's statement noted.
