Now We Are Raising Our Readiness: Everyone Must Do This, Says Estonia's Defense Minister
Estonia, despite Russian President Vladimir Putin's statements during an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, plans to continue establishing a defensive line, which includes the construction of 600 bunkers along the border with the Russian Federation. This was reported to the DPA agency by the country's Minister of Defense, Hanno Pevkur.
“We will not change our plans simply because Putin has given an interview to a journalist,” he stated. “Now we are raising our readiness. And everyone must do this. Not just here in Estonia, but everyone,” emphasized the head of the defense ministry, noting that this is what can be done in peacetime.
He added that his country will also be purchasing ammunition, weapons, and equipment.
It is noteworthy that Putin, during his interview with Carlson, claimed that Russia has no territorial claims against Poland, Latvia, or other countries on the continent.
