Netanyahu Insists on Military Solution to Save His Political Career, Says Iran's Foreign Minister
The situation in the Gaza Strip is evolving towards a political resolution of the conflict, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is obstructing this progress. This statement was made by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian during a press conference in Beirut, as part of his working visit to Lebanon. The information was reported by TASS.
“The events in Gaza are now moving towards searching for pathways to resolution, yet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to insist on a military solution to try to save his political career,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, the Iranian Foreign Minister condemned the United States, which declares its intention to end the conflict while continuing to provide military support to the Israeli army.
Regarding political decisions, Abdollahian noted that the Palestinians have plans and initiatives for the post-war period. “They, the Palestinians, are the true owners of Palestine and must make their own decisions regarding their future,” he added.
