The Powers of Nairine Hayrapetyan as a City Council Member Were Terminated
The powers of Nairine Hayrapetyan, a member of the "Mother Armenia" faction of the Yerevan City Council, were prematurely terminated.
Marat Tokhyan, a member of the "Civil Contract" faction of the Yerevan City Council, presented the proposal, noting that there had been 4 council meetings and 42 votes held in 2023. According to him, council member Nairine Hayrapetyan participated in only 10 votes, meaning she was absent for more than half of the votes.
Tokhyan stated that no acceptable justification for her absences had been submitted to the Yerevan Municipality, and this served as the basis for the premature termination of the council member's powers. The council adopted the decision to terminate Nairine Hayrapetyan's powers with a vote of 34 in favor, 0 against, and 0 abstentions.
