Armen Charentsyan Sentenced to 3 Years 7 Months Conditional Imprisonment
The court has conditionally sentenced Armen Charentsyan, the director of the Izmirlian medical center and former member of parliament from the Armenia bloc, to 3 years and 7 months.
However, the imposed sentence will not be enforced conditionally. Charentsyan will be placed on probation for a period of 3 years.
The well-known doctor and former MP is accused of exerting pressure on voters during the 2021 parliamentary elections. He was in custody for several months and was later released on bail.
