Prosecutor's Office Receives Surety Request for Allen Simonian's Daughter-in-law and Two Others
The members of the National Assembly's "Civil Contract" faction have submitted a request to the Prosecutor's Office for the application of personal surety for Ani Gevorgyan, the wife of Allen Simonian's brother, Karl Simonian, as well as for Lilya Mkryan, the business development manager of "Synergy" company, and Ashot Hovhannisyan, the director of "Synergy." This information was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by the Prosecutor's Office.
"The Prosecutor's Office has received the application for the use of personal surety from the deputies of the National Assembly's 'Civil Contract' faction," officials from the Prosecutor's Office stated.
It is noteworthy that on January 31, the National Security Service and the Investigative Committee conducted searches at the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and at the residences of several individuals (over 15 locations in total), leading to the arrest of 7 people, including Ani Gevorgyan, Lilya Mkryan, and Ashot Hovhannisyan, who were later placed in custody.
Yesterday, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hakob Arshakyan, mentioned in a conversation with reporters that the faction had made the decision to present surety for the mentioned individuals.
