Netanyahu Rejects International Participation in Gaza Demilitarization
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that the Gaza Strip must remain demilitarized after the completion of Israel’s military operations. According to him, this can only be ensured by the Israel Defense Forces, and any international involvement is unacceptable.
“One more word about what will happen after HAMAS: the Gaza Strip must be demilitarized, and that demilitarization can only be ensured by one force—the Israel Defense Forces. No international force can be responsible for that,” he stated at a press conference.
Netanyahu emphasized that Israel, despite increasing international pressure, is determined to complete its military operations in the Gaza Strip. “And I tell our friends around the world who are pressuring us to stop the war that the only way to end the war quickly is to apply maximum force against HAMAS and destroy them. If our friends want to help end this war, then this is their war against barbarism, and they simply need to support us,” he clarified.
