Evacuation Order for 600,000 People in Gaza Triggers Panic
An evacuation order for over 600,000 people has been issued in the Gaza Strip, causing panic and fear among the population, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) on social media.
"Currently, an evacuation order has been issued for over 600,000 people in the Gaza Strip. For about 250,000 people, this is a secondary displacement. The evacuation order concerns 69 UN agency shelters. It has caused panic, fear, and anxiety among the residents of Gaza, many of whom have already had to evacuate during the ongoing conflict," the agency stated.
UNRWA notes that Israeli forces continue their bombings, and the number of casualties is rapidly increasing. Earlier on Tuesday, Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Jonathan Conricus criticized organizations providing aid in the Gaza Strip and the UN, stating that the agency should "review how it carries out its work, as it has been maintaining a narrative of Palestinian victims for 75 years."
