Erdogan's Administration Accuses Israel of Another Issue

The Turkish president's administration has accused Israel of "suppressing" journalists covering the events in Gaza and condemned the attack on reporters who are reporting on the hostage exchange process between Tel Aviv and Hamas.

Earlier, Israel and Hamas reached the first extensive agreement through Qatari mediation after the escalation of conflicts on October 7. The parties agreed to cease military operations for four days to exchange dozens of hostages and detainees.

“Against international law, Israel continues its illegal methods by killing journalists who report on the events in Gaza. We condemn the Israeli government for targeting journalists covering the hostage exchange with rubber bullets, gas, and smoke bombs,” wrote Fahrettin Altun, head of the communications department of the Turkish presidency, on social media.

According to him, Israel must immediately cease its attacks on journalists, healthcare workers, and especially the innocent Palestinian people and respect international law.
