Citizen Pours Gasoline on Himself: What Happened in Front of the Enforcement Service Building
According to information received by ArmLur.am, a 48-year-old man poured gasoline on himself in front of the building of the enforcement service operating under the Ministry of Justice, attempting to self-immolate. A rescue operation has begun near the enforcement service building.
Reports indicate that enforcement officers, risking their lives, intervened to prevent the citizen from carrying out the act of self-immolation.
“What drove the 48-year-old man to go to the service building and take such a step? Through our journalistic investigation, we learned that the man, who attempted suicide, has an ex-wife with outstanding credit obligations, which led the court enforcement service to seize the citizen’s residence, prompting him to attempt to end his life.”
Law enforcement is conducting an investigation into the incident,” the website reported.
In order to clarify details, Auroranews contacted the Investigative Committee. “We received a report about the incident, but as a result of additional actions, it was determined that the individual did not intend to self-immolate; instead, he aimed to attract attention, therefore no criminal proceedings have been initiated,” said the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Gor Abrahamyan.
