Azerbaijanis Demand the Demolition of the 'Grandparents' Monument: Artsakh Ministry of Education
No concrete information exists regarding the demolition of the "We Are Our Mountains" ("Grandparents") monument. This was stated by Lernik Hovhannisyan, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Artsakh, in an interview with ArmLur.am.
“At this moment, there is no solid information. Various users on Azerbaijani Telegram channels are calling for the demolition of the monument, urging instead the preservation of the 'Iron Fist,'” Hovhannisyan remarked during the interview.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that rumors circulated online recently indicating that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had ordered the demolition of the "We Are Our Mountains" monument. Later, further discussions emerged suggesting that Azerbaijanis had already begun the demolition process.
