Israeli Soldiers Restrict Journalists from Accessing Hospital in Northern Gaza

Israeli Defense Forces soldiers have denied journalists access to inspect the Al-Shifa hospital located in northern Gaza, as reported by TASS and cited by the New York Times.

According to the newspaper, journalists were permitted to see only a part of the massive Al-Shifa complex. Soldiers did not allow reporters to roam around the hospital, meet with remaining staff or patients, or conduct interviews.

Sources indicate that journalists were informed that Hamas militants may still be present inside the complex. Israeli soldiers escorted reporters through a damaged building on the edge of the complex, stating it was too dangerous to enter through the main entrance.
