Video: The Christmas Tree Installation Begins at Republic Square
The installation of the main Christmas tree has begun in the center of Yerevan, at Republic Square. This year, the holiday beauty will be assembled from artificial branches brought in from Russia.
The height of the tree, including the top, is 37 meters, while the diameter of the base is 14.4 meters. Last year, Yerevan's fir tree was found to be one of the tallest in the post-Soviet countries.
