Lebanese Hezbollah Possesses Russian Anti-Ship Missiles: Reuters
Lebanese Hezbollah has access to Russian anti-ship missiles that can be deployed against American warships in the Mediterranean Sea, according to Reuters.
Last week, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah announced that the group has 'something in store' for American ships stationed in the region following the outbreak of war between Hamas and Israel. He stated that U.S. warships 'do not intimidate and will not intimidate' the group.
Two sources in Lebanon familiar with Hezbollah's capabilities claim that Nasrallah was referring to the significantly enhanced military capabilities of the group, which includes Russian-made missiles.
Three current and one former U.S. officials have stated that the Lebanese group has built an impressive arsenal, including anti-ship missiles.
Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told Reuters that the Kremlin has no information on whether Hezbollah possesses such missiles.
