"The Regulation of Relations Between Baku and Yerevan is Possible Without Western Intervention" - Patrushev
The regulation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is only possible when external regional forces cease to intervene in the conflict, as Western actions are currently only exacerbating the situation. This was stated by Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, during a speech at a meeting of the Secretaries of Security Councils of CIS countries. TASS reports.
"We are also interested in stabilizing the situation in the South Caucasus region, creating conditions for its development, and strengthening mutual trust and cooperation," he assured.
To this end, Russia is systematically taking steps towards a comprehensive resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations in favor of reaching a peace treaty between the two countries, delineating borders, and opening transport communications. "Practical experience shows that this is only possible in the absence of external regional intervention. The actions of Western countries provoke a degradation of the situation in the region and contribute to the maintenance of contradictions within it," he emphasized.
