Passenger Car Caught Fire in Tavush: 18 Passengers and Driver Evacuated
On November 6, at 15:33, a call was received at the emergency management center of the Tavush regional rescue department reporting that a car was on fire on the road leading to the village of Artsvaberd. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It was confirmed that a firefighting team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.
“It was found that a GAZelle passenger vehicle serving the Berd-Chinari route was burning at the edge of the village (driver: Z. O., 18 passengers). The fire was contained by 16:15 and extinguished by 16:33. The vehicle was burned; no injuries were reported,” the statement said.
According to media reports, fortunately, both the driver and all 18 passengers managed to evacuate the vehicle.
