Shoigu Reports Ukraine's Casualties During Counteroffensive
During the counteroffensive that began in the summer, the Ukrainian armed forces have lost more than 90,000 soldiers, both killed and wounded, without achieving significant success on the battlefield. This statement was made by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu. TASS reports.
“From June 4, the start of the widely publicized and generously sponsored Ukrainian counteroffensive by the West, Kyiv has lost more than 90,000 soldiers, both killed and wounded,” Shoigu stated while speaking at the 10th Xiangshan Forum on Security.
He added that the Ukrainian armed forces have also suffered losses in equipment, with nearly 600 tanks destroyed, as well as 1,900 armored vehicles of various classes. Shoigu emphasized that Ukraine has been unable to achieve tactically significant successes.
