Israel Presents Ceasefire Conditions to Hamas
Israel has proposed a ceasefire in exchange for the release of all hostages and the return of the bodies of Israeli casualties from the Gaza Strip. However, the Palestinian Hamas movement has rejected this offer, according to Al Arabiya television, citing its sources. The information is also reported by RIA Novosti.
According to sources, negotiations are underway between Hamas and Israel, mediated by Egypt and Qatar, regarding the release of hostages. 'Israel has offered a ceasefire in exchange for the release of all hostages and the transfer of the bodies of deceased Israelis,' the sources stated, noting that Hamas has rejected this proposal and demanded the release of Palestinian prisoners.
The sources added that Hamas has requested a long-term ceasefire, but Israel has declined to respond to this request. It is worth mentioning that the Palestinian Hamas movement had previously stated that it is ready to release all civilian hostages, but the ongoing airstrikes on Gaza prevent this from happening.
