Why There Are No Direct Flights from Moscow to Yerevan from April: Clarification from Civil Aviation
Information has been circulating on the internet for some time that there will be no direct flights from Yerevan to Moscow or from Moscow to Yerevan starting in April. People are speculating in panic that this may be due to Russia imposing sanctions against Armenia.
Auroranews contacted the civil aviation committee to clarify the accuracy of this information. In our conversation with them, officials stated, “Flights are as they were, and they will remain so. We cannot comment on how many tickets each airline has, but it is possible that some airline's tickets for certain days may already be sold out. However, currently, there are no changes to the schedule.
Starting in April, a new navigation season will begin. We are currently in the winter navigation period. Now, many airlines, both domestic and international, may not show available tickets if you try to book one, because that period has not yet started, and this does not mean that the flights have been canceled.”
They assured us that this situation is not linked to any sanctions that Russia could impose against Armenia, but rather relates to the policies of the airlines.
