Bayramov Presents "Prospects for Peace Process with Yerevan" to EU Ambassadors
During a meeting on Friday, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov engaged with accredited ambassadors of EU member states. The meeting focused on the potential futures of the peace process and settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he outlined the situation in the South Caucasus following Azerbaijan's "anti-terrorism measures" (a reference to the military operation against Artsakh on September 19), and the prospects for peace between Baku and Yerevan.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that the "anti-terrorism measures" undertaken by Azerbaijan on September 19-20, which led to the depopulation of Artsakh, are "legitimate and crucial for peace and stability in the South Caucasus."
"The Foreign Minister highlighted that today a unique historical opportunity for peace has emerged in the region," the statement said.
