UN Reports on Number of Buildings Collapsed in Gaza Strip
Since October 7, more than 1,300 residential and non-residential buildings have been destroyed in the Gaza Strip due to Israeli bombardments, resulting in over 5,500 housing units, according to a press release from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Public Works, a total of 1,324 residential and non-residential buildings have been damaged, with 5,540 housing units affected, and an additional 3,743 residential homes have been damaged to the point of being uninhabitable.
It is noteworthy that on the morning of October 7, Israel was subjected to an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Army’s press service reported that extremists launched over 3,000 rockets. Additionally, dozens of terrorists infiltrated border areas in southern Israel.
