Azerbaijani Accusation Against the PACE
The Azerbaijani delegation has condemned the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for adopting the resolution titled "The Humanitarian Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh" and a corresponding advisory document. The resolution denounces Azerbaijan's military actions against Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19, 2023.
The Azerbaijani delegation at PACE described this resolution and the accompanying recommendations as "far from the truth and facts, reflecting the core elements of Armenian propaganda." The statement from the delegation reads, "We categorically reject this unjust approach towards our country and perceive it as a vivid example of the collapse of democratic values within the Council of Europe."
It is noteworthy that the assembly recognized that nearly the entire population of Nagorno-Karabakh has left their homeland due to the threat of physical destruction and the long-standing anti-Armenian policies of the Azerbaijani government.
