Wall of House Collapses in Lchashen Village; Citizen Rescued from Rubble, Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports
On October 9th, at 17:05, the Crisis Management Center of the Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department received an alert about a wall collapse in the village of Lchashen, where a citizen was trapped under the rubble.
A firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the outer wall of one of the houses on 9th Street, 3rd Alley of the village (approximately 48 square meters), had collapsed, partially trapping resident V. M. (born 1949) under the debris.
Before the rescuers arrived, V. M. was extracted from under the rubble by local efforts. The rescuers assisted the victim to an ambulance, and he was hospitalized at a medical center, where doctors assessed his health condition as seriously stable.
