Borrell Comments on Events in Israel: Condemns Hamas Attacks

We are deeply saddened by the news coming from Israel. This was stated by High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU, Josep Borrell, on his X page, condemning the attacks by Hamas.

“This horrific violence must be stopped immediately. Terrorism and violence solve nothing. The EU expresses its solidarity with Israel during these difficult times,” Borrell wrote, emphasizing that “now more than ever, it is necessary to work towards achieving sustainable peace.”

“The attacks by Hamas cause deep suffering for the Israeli people, increase tensions, and undermine Palestinian interests,” the EU High Representative stated.
