Anti-tank Mine and Approximately 200 Grams of Mercury Found in Deputy Principal's Office; Students Evacuated
Today, on September 13, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 12:20 PM, the national crisis management center of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call reporting the discovery of mercury and ammunition at School No. 139, located at 3 Nelson Stepanyan Street in the Nor Nork administrative district. Firefighters and rescuers were needed to safely relocate the materials.
According to Shamshyan.com, police and patrol officers evacuated the students from the school. Meanwhile, rescuers discovered an anti-tank mine and approximately 200 grams of mercury in a cabinet within the deputy principal's office.
The police and the investigative department are currently determining the circumstances under which these items ended up in the deputy principal's office.
