Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Declares Non-Recognition of Artsakh Republic Presidential Elections
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has announced that it does not recognize the presidential elections of the Artsakh Republic.
"These so-called 'presidential elections' contradict the norms and principles of international law, and their results have no power. Ukraine reiterates its support for Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and advocates for resolving all issues through diplomatic means," stated the Ukrainian agency's announcement.
It is noteworthy that Samuel Shahramanyan has been elected as the President of the Artsakh Republic. The secret ballot was attended by 23 deputies, of whom 22 voted in favor, while 1 voted against.
