I Do Not Rule Out Such Circumstances, We Must Be Prepared for Everything: Hovik Aghazaryan
The recent events in Sotk were of much lighter significance compared to those that occurred a year ago or a few months ago, where it was evident that the CSTO was obligated to take specific actions but did not do so. This was stated by Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, in an interview with 'First News'.
'The CSTO is not fulfilling its role at the necessary level. Of course, this may be due to the fact that our strategic partner, the Russian Federation, is engaged in military operations. If our capabilities allow, we must do even the impossible to defend ourselves,' Aghazaryan emphasized.
Regarding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that it seems Russia is withdrawing from the region, the MP from the Civil Contract party said, 'It could be a day, a few months, or not at all; such situations are always possible, as history shows. Therefore, I do not rule out such circumstances; we must be prepared for everything.'
