Borrell: 'I am very sorry that such false news is being spread'
‘To believe that the European Union supposedly wants to use Georgia to open a second front against Russia is madness; do not listen to such things,’ said Josep Borrell, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, during a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Tbilisi.
‘It is madness to think that anyone in the EU wants to see a war in Georgia. I am very sorry that such false news is being spread. Because they create problems. This is propaganda and disinformation,’ emphasized Borrell.
According to him, the aim of such propaganda is to poison the people, distort everything, and create distrust in the country. ‘Russian propaganda is very active,’ highlighted the EU representative.
