Lukashenko Promises Support to Syria
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has assured Bashar al-Assad of his country's readiness to support Syria in the post-conflict reconstruction phase.
The statement was made as Lukashenko congratulated the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Bashar al-Assad, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Belarusian-Syrian diplomatic relations.
“Belarus has always been close to Syria, extending a helping hand in difficult times. I assure you of our willingness to continue supporting the fraternal Syrian people in the post-conflict reconstruction phase,” he stated.
