We Are Concerned About the Deteriorating Humanitarian Situation in Artsakh, Says Brazilian Representative
Brazil has expressed concern over the humanitarian crisis created by the blockade of the Lachin Corridor.
"We are worried about the reports regarding the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh," said Sergio França Danese, Brazil's representative at the UN Security Council.
During a meeting on the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, he noted that there are particular concerns about reports stating that the situation has worsened since June due to the road closure, affecting both the civilian population and vulnerable individuals.
"Brazil reaffirms its commitment to respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both Armenia and Azerbaijan within their internationally recognized borders," he added.
"We urge both parties to find mechanisms to ensure unhindered humanitarian access to Artsakh, including the possibility of the Aghdam-Khankendi road," he stated.
