Biden Blamed for Providing Aid to Ukraine Instead of Helping Americans
The U.S. administration, led by President Joe Biden, is spending billions of dollars to support Ukraine while allocating only a few hundred to victims of fires in Hawaii. This statement was made by Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, according to RIA Novosti.
Congresswoman Greene accused Biden of prioritizing aid to Ukraine. She stated, "Biden is giving a one-time payment of $700 to poor people who have lost everything in the Lahaina fires but wants to send another $20 billion to Ukraine," on her microblog on X (formerly Twitter).
According to her, the affected residents of Hawaii often have nothing left, and "Biden is giving them just $700." Greene added that this amount is barely enough for a one-time grocery trip or a few days in a hotel.
"Our government sends $1 billion a month to Ukraine to fund their government, but can’t divide more than $700 for every American family who has lost everything?" she wrote.
It is worth noting that the death toll from the devastating wildfires in Hawaii has reached 99 and is expected to increase significantly in the near future, according to local authorities.
